A gallery of Curiosities, most of the images featured were taken as part of my role as a feature writer for Vintage Explorer and Antique Explorer magazines. The articles mainly featured the darker or more surreal collections and their collectors. In this role I was constantly surprised and never really sure what would be the next thing I would find or be shown.
Collectors could be both enthusiastic and cautious as they wheeled some of their strangest and bizarre treasures. Many items would have a story to regale or additional. During my ventures I learnt how to shrink a head, why skulls were carved, what the easiest animal to taxidermy is, how large a fur ball from cow could be and many more useful nuggets.
